Come Back to Social Work campaign recognised by Personnel Today
Sam Wilson, The 28th of July, 2017

Following on from our incredible success at this year’s PPMA awards – we’re extremely excited by the prospect of yet more awards glory this year as the Come Back to Social Work campaign has been shortlisted for a Personnel Today award.

The campaign, run in partnership with the Local Government Association, aimed to address the national shortage of experienced social workers in the UK. The focus was attracting those who have left the profession in the last five years back into it. The scheme offered participants the necessary training to regain their HCPC registration before joining one of a number of participating authorities.

Having worked in social work recruitment for the best part of two decades, ensuring that authorities have enough experienced professionals to deliver the best possible services is something very close to our heart. It is for this reason that we jumped at the chance to be a part of this ground-breaking campaign.

We are, obviously, therefore delighted that this highly successful campaign has been recognised by such a prestigious body like Personnel Today. We stand amongst some incredible competition and have our fingers firmly crossed for the ceremony on 21st November 2017.

“The team at Jobsgopublic played such a crucial role in making the concept of this campaign a reality. The microsite perfectly captured our message and helped us properly inform candidates and get the applications we needed. We’re overjoyed to have been shortlisted by Personnel Today and excited for the ceremony in November.” Selena Lansley, Head of Workforce, LGA

Our Head of Marketing, Olivia Harris had this to say – “Here at Jobsgopublic, we are always keen to be part of special campaigns like this. Campaigns that are not only trying to do something different but also have the best interests of the sectors we serve at heart. We’re delighted that it was such a success and really hope that this paves the way for more campaigns like this.”
